The Flower Mound Police Department is accepting applications for its popular Citizens Police Academy (CPA). The course is 11 weeks and runs from September 7, 2022 to November 16, 2022. The course is free to Flower Mound residents and explores the inner workings of FMPD. The Town of Flower Mound has entered a modified version of Stage 2 of our Emergency Water Demand Management Plan. Since June 30, we’ve been in Stage 1, but due to a lack of meaningful rainfall, continued high temperatures, and low participation in voluntary water use reduction measures, we’re now in Stage 2. On top of the established Stage 2 requirements, the Town is taking additional measures to reduce water usage throughout town by restricting outdoor watering to no more than two days per week. The Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) is currently in Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan for its service area, which includes Flower Mound. If UTRWD moves into its Stage 2, the Town will be contractually obligated to escalate our restrictions, including limiting watering to once per week for all water users. Now is the time for all of us to work together and reduce our water usage to avoid more stringent restrictions. Starting today, Aug. 9, the following is mandatory. As managing agent of the Pinnacle at Riverwalk Townhome Owners’ Association, Inc. we would like to inform you the deadline for returning a Candidate Form has been extended through March 2, 2022. If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please submit a completed Candidacy Form before the deadline date noted above. The tentative date for the Annual Election Meeting is March 17, 2022. After the deadline for returning candidacy forms expire, a meeting packet containing the notice, ballot, draft agenda, and instructions on how to register for the meeting and cast your vote online will be sent. Please note, you must be registered on the Association’s website to cast your vote and receive periodic communications regarding the upcoming meeting and election.
